1 DAY ANTI-DRUG OPPERATION:14 ARRESTED, 2 KILLED, 31 SACHETS, 2 GUNS SEIZED IN TARLAC CITY

By: Central Luzon News Center | Nelson Bolos In another successful simultaneous anti-drugs operation by the Tarlac Police Provincial Office (TPPO), 14 suspected pushers were arrested and 2 others were killed in a shoot-out from whom a total of 31 sachets of shabu and marijuana and 2 guns were seized. The one-day province-wide operation was led by TPPO Director PSSupt Ritchie Medardo Posadas and is part of the police’s Oplan Double Barrel Reloaded. Posadas said, “we were not expecting a shoot-out, but 2 of the targeted drug personalities refused to surrender and shot our policemen, hence, they were killed”. The armed encounter happened in Barangay San Fernando, Victoria town, between the joint operatives of the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) headed by PSupt Luis Ventura Jr and the Victoria Police Station and the 2 drug peddlers. Ex Cop, Ex Jail Guard Busted in Ramos, Tarlac

ADVERTISEMENT A former policeman and an ex-jail guard of the Tarlac Provincial Jail (TPJ) were arrested in a separate buy-bust operation by the police. According to PInps Randy Niegos, police chief of Ramos town, arrested for peddling shabu was Joseph Ayson y Valencia, 44, an ex- policeman, presently residing at Sitio Bancag, Barangay Poblacion South, Ramos, Tarlac, but a native of Poblacion 2, Pura, Tarlac. Ayson, who was formerly assigned at the Pura Police Station, was nabbed at Barangay Poblacion South, here. Five sachets of shabu were confiscated from him. Ayson was dismissed from the police service in 2008. “Only just recently that we heard of Ayson’s illegal activities and we conducted a ‘test buy’ which confirmed of his selling drugs. In his report to Tarlac Police Director PSSupt Ritchie Posadas, Mendoza identified the slain “top drug personality” as Richard Fernandez (AKA Reggie), 38. “Pag-abot niya (Fernandez) ng shabu at dadakmain na sana siya ng poseur buyer, binaril niya agad ito. In an interview upon his arrest, Valdez, who he is a native of this town, claimed he is a priest of the Aglipayan church and is the “destined priest” of the IFI church in the municipality of Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija. Slain in a shoot- out with the police this morning was Omar Ugadan of Barangay Tibag, Tarlac. Ugadan, a known drug personality who “surrendered” to the city police during the advent of the PNP Project Tokhang, but, apparently, continued peddling drugs. In his reports, PSupt Franklin Estoro revealed that last Wednesday, Jayson Lansang y Nuñez, 37, years old, married, of 3029, Abucay Street, Tondo, Manila, was entrapped in Barangay San Antonio. By: Central Luzon News Center | Nelson Bolos This was the question posed after a “new big time pusher” was killed here in an armed encounter with the police at Barangay Tagumbao in Gerona, Tarlac. In his report, PSupt Franklin Estoro identified the slain pusher as Rodelio Sabalo y Unat, 34, who is said to be new resident of Barangay Camangaan East, Moncada town. Recovered from Sabalo were a caliber .9MM pistol , 16 sachets of shabu, a Honda TMX 155 motorcycle, among others. According to PInsp Joel Gamboa, Sabalo sold 2 sachets of shabu to police poseur buyer PO2 Archie Niegos but resisted arrest and fired at the apprehending police team.
